I appreciate that the listing plainly states this pump does not have a standard shaft seal, because that detail matters more than the low price. I bought it for a niche use where that design was acceptable, and in that context it was a good deal. At $29.95, it is an economical way to source a compact hydraulic pump, especially compared with new production alternatives. It earns four stars from me only because the specialized seal arrangement will make it unsuitable for many buyers.

For under thirty dollars, this Pesco pump is hard to ignore if you need a compact hydraulic gear pump and understand what you are buying. The old military inventory angle did not bother me, and the aluminum construction keeps it practical for lighter-duty projects or test setups. The important part is the warning about the shaft not using a standard seal and allowing oil past for case drain purposes. If that suits your system, it is a solid value. If not, it is the wrong pump entirely.
